It is normal to hold preliminary discussions before reaching an agreement - the longer you consider the options, the better your final decision. Rushed decisions can lead to bad outcomes.

Yes it could be anyone. What a great position to be in to have not locked in to one party. This means that the interested parties are still under pressure to improve their offers, rather than locking in to one party who can then control proceedings.

The use of this announcement is to confirm that the long term timeline for HAS is continuing to progress as planned. Its important for companies to plan long term, and to keep shareholders informed.

Once again you overemphasize the importance of the share price imho. The share price is what (a few) people will sell/buy their shares for. It is not an indication of the value of the company. A low SP (or more importantly MC) can be a sign of an undervalued stock, a higher SP (or MC) can be an indicator of an overvalued stock.

It would be very unusual business practise to name the parties imho. Until final decisions are made, business discussions are confidential.

HAS has a timeline for progression to production. It is proceeding as desired. As I have said before, the company has stated:
"Strategic partner to be secured (funding, technical, off-take?) Q2 2013"

HAS has no intention or need to make a rushed decision to lock in with one party.
