I do love Wishin’ and Hopin’ – but I’m also a Hard Headed Woman.
Much as I would love $150m to flow into PYC coffers via a PRV the facts tell me that
(a) it can’t happen until after drug approval which, even if everything goes smoothly, is still years away and
(b) under current rules, drugs approved by the FDA after September 2022 will no longer be eligible for PRVs.
Yes, I’m wishin’ and hopin’ that the politicians might change their mind, that the PRV program might be extended and PYC might financially benefit from it in the years to come.
But the hard headed woman in me knows that's just a wish and is a tad concerned that previous PRV discussion here has led another poster to think that the PRV scheme might be a source of funding for PYC/Vision’s retinitis pigmentosa development program.
That isn't possible.
