Finding the optimum process and plant design will take time to finalise but not impossible. There will be several milestones to be meet in the proof-of-concept stage, pilot plant development and then the production threshold stage before a biotech extraction plant is designing and patent.
Fortunately for AZL, Brett is an expert in this field, and is the lead inventor on LAC patent using traditional chemistry/engineering techniques to extract lithium from sedimentary clay (WO2020/205302 A1) in 2020. His knowledge is a massive advantage to integrate Cemvita Factory biomining solutions into a cutting-edge technology with leading ESG credentials.
Why we all know the delay in the BLM drilling approval has not been great! This situation has most likely provided AZL the time and opportunity to develop the benchmark required to mine lithium clays in the USA. It truly explains Paul's grin and Monday.
