Looks to me the actions are heading towards closing down the business. These initial closures must be real bleeders, no point waiting around for full strategic review. CEO gone as there is no turn around possible. Next step will to bring in a bean counter type CEO to strip down the business and prep for sale.
The main shareholders have enough control to kick out BoD, so they will do as they are told. Just takes a while to play out.
