I'm with you on being a bit bemused by what they appear to be flagging to the market, apart from them flying a few thought kites along the lines of:
"Australia is too small for us.
We want to take on the world.
And we are wondering how we should fund that international foray."
I am very partial to this company and its management because I was a shareholder for several happy years in the past, so I maintain a watching brief on developments.
But I have to say, if something was going to make me become a shareholder again, this sort of thing raises more questions than provides answers.
