Why is a buyout the only option? Nobody is talking about the possibility of a toll treatment agreement or a JV yet when the review was announced it was pointedly said that all options including a sale would be considered. Sure a sale would crystalize a returnable figure relatively quickly however the aim here was to maximize returns to shareholders....that could take far longer if the other options are being vetted. There's a real possibility that a sale will not be the outcome here & that's fine as long as that delivers the greater shareholder return. Posters here could be setting themselves up for disappointment if a sale isn't the BoD's preferred pathway to value realization. To be clear, a project sale is not the only option being considered in the review.
