SPOD price has dropped to US$1400/t. As a higer cost producer, what else does one think Core can do? Such a pain is inevitable in wading through this negative Lithium market. People tried to front-run for the rebound story in previous days now get caught up. I think soon same will happen to LTR. PLS will be the last, but not far away (maybe after next quarterly report). Not until we see the majors cut production, this glut situation won't change. Bear in mind China has already almost half electrified in major cities' transports. Lithium demand by EV is not as much as they broadcast in the past. Just do the math, particularly considering next year how much new production will be brought online - e.g., LTR, LLL, PLS expansion etc.
Australia miner labours are too expensive. Maybe it's time to import some cheap labourers to control this?
