You could be be right, seeing as IPL footed the bill for the drilling and gave CTP $7m in cash, a nice little earner if they can sell their share.
Imo, the company are getting a little bit skittish, part of the 50% sale of producing assets was "$40m in carried funding of Central's share of near term development, appraisal and exploration activities".
They may have to dip into the account that pays their wages sooner, rather than later for further exploration and appraisal, hence the strategic r/v.
