And when the diggers and drill rigs and dozers and trucks get walked out of the pit, with the contractor demobing them from site to work on other projects.
How long do you think it takes for those same machines + operators + management + technical support people to get re-mobilised and setup to site in 6-12 months time ?
The fact is when a decision like this gets made, people lose their jobs, contractors go elsewhere, equipment gets moved offsite.
It takes a long time and confidence in the market for that to turn around IMO. Sure they will continue to run a loader + a couple of trucks from a stockpile in the interim, but this is easily a 6-12 months shutdown of operations (Likely longer).
