China sells 1.2 million NEVs in Dec, nears 10 million for full year 2023, CAAM data show
China's total vehicle sales in 2023 stood at 30,094,000 units, the first time it has surpassed the 30 million mark, with NEVs contributing 31.6 percent.
That means circa 9.5M NEV were sold in 2023 - up from around 6.5M at the end of 2022.China's new energy vehicle (NEV) sales exceeded 1 million units for the second consecutive month, putting full-year 2023 sales just below 10 million.
China's December NEV sales totaled 1,191,000 units, up 46.4 percent year-on-year and up 16.1 percent from November, according to data released today by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
