I think that adds to the discussion though. My worry with seeing posts like yours is that without people understanding where you're coming from they may take on far too much risk themselves. "There's a poster on HotCopper who dropped what must be their life savings into FDV so I'm doing the same!". I'm in a decent position with investments so am happy to hold and take on more but if this were my house deposit or a big chunk of a SMSF then that would be very concerning. I share your Timbercorp wipeout and a few others around that time!
