I agree that if the goal was to actually sell the assets at best price then better to make 1-1 deals (I'd guess the board has contacts with potential buyers along the way). However, I'm assuming the real goal here is to build a solid case for a floor on the offer price of e.g $1.00 and the third parties add credibility?
