I don't think POSCO or Livent will be the likely buyers of a small stake in the project at the extraction stages. I believe an early selldown will go to the likely offtaker. Just look at the CATL deal with PLS as an example of what is possible. I think it will be a smaller stake and tied to a long term supply agreement. Perhaps a Ford, Tesla, SK Innovation, VW, Toshiba, Panasonic, Hyundi etc.
A more encompassing JV/ partnership arrangement for SDV (future stages) will come in the downstream opportunities - i.e. the conversion from 98% carbonate product to 99.5% BG product. That could be a POSCO or Livent opportunity??
