I tend to think Jupiter is primarily hydrothermal with a surface zone of later Lacustrine, (later time zone). We already know alkaline intrusions anomalies have been noted with good grades recorded around these zones. Good point both you and @Stropo make about the Ce weathering indication. Still many unknowns. More intrusion testing will help piece this puzzle together.
