Importanty to remember the BOD are looking to create shareHOLDER value, not necessarily shareTRADER value.
As someone looking for bags and not pips, I'd much prefer a steady strategy like the one currently being implemented to one that seeks to drip-feed incomplete and potentially misleading snippets of information in an effort to artificially inflate the short-term SP.
