Optimists will say the Bains offer is still well and truly alive but BWX are looking for an acceptable price. Obviously more than $6.60. Growth opportunities will have the optimists torn between the T/O and go it alone.
Pessimists will say that Bains want the extension to get more time to find a way out and the growth opportunities outlined are crap or just plain imagined.
The takeover looks more on the cards now but I am happy to go on as standalone if it falls over. Clean decks, good growth outlook and a firm direction is a good long term recipe.
