I refer the discerning followers of this marvelous outfit to a previous post of mine that explains the joys of sampling around Charters Towers, where not only do you have the Campaspe Beds which form the soil veneer and are chock full of microfine gold, but you also have the roads, which are paved with 6g/t Au mullock from the historic Charlies Trousers gold mines. The result? Soil sampling is a complete waste of time in identifying mineralisation in this area.
