Sand mining will be another obstacle for seismic. It's incredulous that petroleum drilling and seismic operations go through years of green tape and botanical surveys just to walk in a geophone or drive a rig to site yet the mineral sands industry can just strip-mine the same area without the same scrutiny. Both industries regulated by DMIRS - go figure. The upside is there won't be many rare orchids left by the time any seismic is planned!
