Rumour went around that stx was raising capital and the price fell... Simple as that. It was clear as day they needed capital. I never gave much credence to the asset sale story to be honest. Why sell such potentially valuable assets (given the information the company has). And why would anyone pay a fair price until they could be certain STX's core tenements are productivity, let alone buy a slice of the further afield tenements (the only ones we'd be willing to sell).
This is a small raising. It gives them some breathing room. After September they can raise 15% of total capital. By then we might have some more guidance on commerciality... And hopefully next round will occur at 20 cents or more... And maybe small holders will get a chance to participate.
