I wish NWE the best, but they are still 2 years behind us. And have to think about how to extract and sell any gas they find.

Either way, I think it's win-win for Strike. If NWE don't find gas, we become the main game in the Perth Basin (along with Beach, who are sending their gas to the NWS).

If NWE succeed, however, that would be a string of successes for deep gas in the Perth Basin, and suddenly we are talking about a major new international gas province being opened up. It also augers well for more drilling in WE and SE.

At this point, some may scream 'oversupply', but, personally, I think this will only increase the likelihood of the WA government reversing their idiotic domestic gas reserve policy (a very good thing for STX) and see the big boys around the world begin to take the Perth Basin seriously and (potentially) set off a land rush.
