They are obviously extremely confident in the success of the WE and their Perth Basin holdings. Pleased to see they are thinking outside the box to monetize their gas asset and looking to create diversify revenue stream. Sounds like a marriage made in heaven with Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilizer. Having divested from Coles, WES also happens to be sitting on a gigantic war chest (approx 10bn in investable capital).
My personal conjecture of course.
