I guess all STX holders should be reasonably happy with this outcome including this newly minted holder. It was my intention to accept the STX offer and did so at 11am just before the announcement. Seems like this was a well thought out strategy that now gives STX a nice little war chest of cash.
For me STX will keep things going until the 13th and rake up as much cash as they can out of its bid which will hopefully propel the company forward.
I'm not sure about calls for $1.00 right away but as we all know, well I hope we all do, this is never about the company per se but the people who run it and it appears there is a lot of smart people running STX.
