Its a good announcement - no doubt. The market didnt seem too impressed however, only closing up 0.6c from the low and still at a loss for the day.
I guess it will take a while to find its way into the various inboxes but EQR probably need to get out there and sell it to investors. Its pretty clear the average ASX trader couldnt find value if it jumped up and bit them on the backside.

I wasnt kidding about going private. The sharemarket works well if you get the media (hence the support G6M enjoy off the ABC's story) but if not it can be a very hard sell. Afterall, the market is supposed to be representative of 'forward' earnings and the updated BFS has been known and in the works for some time - only the actual figure was in dispute. And despite this the sellers were piling on today.
