With respect to the existing shafts... what got me thinking was seeing a few times a mention of accessing bulk samples (I assume for PFS/DFS work) from an old shaft on the boundary of O (specifically one that was 300m from the boundary). I understand that these shafts are maintained in good condition. That's why I thought of this as a left field option of negotiating permanent access. Whether it is practical, possible, or economic is another matter.

One other option for reducing capex which I left out was doing contract mining for say, the first 5-10 years. This would probably halve the capex required, but obviously increase the opex. This might be justifiable if long term higher potash prices are likely. Also there are many potash mining specialist companies in the region which could act as contractor.

Capex estimates for going alone of $500-800m AUD seem reasonable assuming shaft or shaft+ramp access, room and pillar with continuous miners, plus processing plant. Possible to break this into two stages i.e. 500ktpa first stage, with 500ktpa expansion a la HFR.

One thing for sure... really looking forward to the detail in the SS, CEO appointment, and the next six months.
