stocks that have drilling results "Pending" tend to increase in price the closer to expected results date. you gotta be early to make money. if you buy into the hype close to announcement time chances are your one of the last ones in

most of the time results come back with okay or good results...and the SP gets sold down. Thats because investors dont want to stick around for the next 4-6 weeks waiting for the next bit of news / progress reports. Traders are only here for short term gains - Thats the old buy the hype, sell the news mantra.

very occasionally you'l get results soooo good that a stock re-rates. if you find one of these your lucky... but dont fall in love because it will get sold down eventually -

sometimes results are so poor that everyone dumps on news. had some of these myself. usually there are signs that results are crap. cant tell you how many times ive seen the price get sold down a week before bad results are announced. 2 that come to mind are EMU, DKO last year
