Yeah, nothing he says even makes sense. The plan was never to stop drilling half way through and start trying to fish for a sample. The plan has always been to get to depth, or maybe a little further if conditions allow. Then do a sample run.

I've never been involved in an oil/gas well in my life, despite working in the pipeline industry, but all you have to do is read and work out who has the knowledge that they are willing to share and you can learn the basics pretty easily. We are lucky to have a few of these people you can learn from on this very forum... Then you also have idiots like this bloke who, like you say are trolling... or just really realllly slow.
