Got To correct you here. The SLB Saturn probe does NOT have a magic solution for dealing with heavily invaded zones (mud filtrate pump out), but I agree it is beneficial in tight zones. Check the SLB pdf brochure yourself. I hope they identify low invasion zones for pump out in order to limit the pump out times to less than 3 hrs at each station. Many on HC take what you say as true without question - I don't.

The 30 bbl per hour mud loss was reported by PAC Partners' or by someone concluding the AGM notes and they way it was written left us to assume it was ongoing mud loss even after using an LCM pill. The top UA was prognosed at 2200m and the report was issued when the drill depth was 3296m MD. A much thicker shale section was encountered, 163 m thick approx. Applying an assumed NTG 15% and 70% within the UA sands and for the LA 35% ntg with 70% in the sands, the approx good sand thickness was 170m in total at 3296m depth. I calculated 17300 bbl mud loss assuming constant rate of loss up until Friday this week which is about 24 days of open hole and that is how it relates to 100 bbl per metre mud loss at that time. The hope is they focus on taking MDT samples in the zones with minimal mud filtrate invasion.
