Amigos, let's try to put last week's discovery of the Quarry Lode at Lewis Ponds in context. Quarry Lode, which is not included in the JORC, was intercepted by drills 1 and 2, and it is mineralised for more than 20 m in width. Both drills gave results of about 8 m at 2.7-2.8 g gold/ton from about 120-135 m. Those statistics are very similar in gold (and silver) to what is known about the two lodes that make up the JORC resource of 400,000 oz of gold & 15 mil oz silver. It is early days and we are waiting on results of a "3,300 metre diamond drilling (DD) program" at Lewis Ponds. However lMO, the results for Quarry Lode could indicate the JORC for Lewis Ponds could be rapidly increased by 50% or more (depending on results from a few well-positioned drill holes). Some relevant info comes from previous announcements:
Below is a diagram from GRLs' announcement last year (6th October 2020) of a section though Tom's Lode. Three diamond drill holes by previous companies intersected Toms Lode at depths up to 250 m below surface. The existing JORC for Lewis Ponds is based on historic drill results for Toms Lode and Spicers Lode, alone. In another announcement (25th January 2021) GRL describes the two lodes as follows:
"Spicers Lode – consists of three sub-parallel sets of massive, semi-massive and stringer sulphide lenses. Each unit (set) averages between 1 m – 4 m wide and are separated by waste units between 4m – 5m.
Tom’s Lode – consists of one massive sulphide lens that is approximately 2m – 5m thick and a current strike length of 800m. Tom’s contains higher grades of base metals but lower gold grades compared to Spicers Lode."
