I actually did an email to Jason couple of months ago in regards to the preliminary results - whether they were positive or not, he replied that he cannot share the information due to ASX disclose rules but he confirmed that it was progressing well (quality programs).
I agreed with you that they may have a general idea (but I am not 100% sure as I don't know about quality test process) and I am not sure how long does quality check program take so have no clue why it takes so long.
Also this is my 100% own assumption that it (progress of quality program or preliminary results) maybe considered when they did their last CR so IMO I am still hoping good news!
All in my opinion only.
