Everything is known in the market already - not new information.
It was the tone , and the insinuating + snide remarking about small gold companies releasing lots of data with miles of different individual drill results.
Pictures of cores a lot —in some small company updates and drone footage / first gold bar pours- unrelated directly to BC8 at all.
But this tone and making fun of companies generally .
Disdain, and quite a lot of lacking in foresight in how they were coming across I think.
In retrospect- while you think all is arguable and as if this is a debate (which is the style also) . I ‘get’ this - and wonder if this the ‘tone ‘ also in justifying behind the scenes- the boys would be good debaters.
Words —are interesting.
Trouble is- in justifying after what has been said , and the debater thinking of just ‘ the words’ & as if it’s an information thing, this sort of ‘thinking’ in head, guys going back over what said as if being lawyers somehow , is not how overall truly has originally impacted.
No they didn’t just be referencing BC8 but were somewhat superior and disparaging overall. As if they being reporters for a general audience.
And they didn’t say it wasn’t viable or good what is happening.
They were in a mood of being arbiters in how announcements be released ,or effect.
It is already difficult for small companies who must comply with asx and must release new information only and anything material,
What is material to a small cap gold explorer and developer after some years in progress- is very different to for a large cap company.
I personally think the guys might feel more humble also in future and just don’t realise still how relatively early in life they are.
“That ‘words’ are more powerful than the sword”.
I believe the guys were just fired up.
They were on a bit of an adrenaline high & feeling powerful & excited amongst happenings in the gold mining space —due to their close assessing of the SLR alternate direct attempt to communicate with SBM shareholders for votes against the SBM board so far sanctioned Genesis takeover of Gwalia / Leonora mine and associated resource assets.
SLR are being a cute - angling for a foothold while risking nothing really as yet.
The thinking required to assess it all, is incredibly moot, debating in style —-and this was the ‘space’ the video fellows were in at the time .
The BC8 video unfortunately appears to have been done subsequently, in same sitting , with that heightened energy in the room and quite a lot of justified sort of picking into language energy.
The video guys had adrenaline and little bit of ego- running high. Sleuthing and integrating their banker natural cynicism with behaviours these multiple hundreds of millions companies board machinations. (SLR, SBM board analysis and in depth interpretation of SBM shareholders base and allegiance to Genesis etc )
It wasn’t helpful with how the Black Cat video then came across.
I think they could consider even apologising.
And the finance guys, banking cynicism and making fun of companies words & posturing - they should and could think a bit more of who they are, and recognise the power they wield.
Particularly if their energy is a bit fired.
BC8 was simply a small fry follow- on , from their scoop as they see their efforts in publicly bringing perspective re the SLR-SBM- Genesis power play.
I don’t like power play talk or legalism much actually. At all.
The guys were too much in their own heads and energy space- It wasn’t even what they said , but descriptors, tone and unwarranted disrespectful feel overall. The significance that did this even.
The engineer guy was clear that Black Cat figures & information are correct.
The facts are that they see and read a lot of things & the main engineer background guy who seems also to be more in project development and finance more also ? - happened to work In Paulsens, for NST , after he graduated.
So he knows the mine. From in 2010 about.
The gold price and geophysics etc available now are also at higher levels.
Paul Chapman & Les Davies - as he says, have also mined narrow veins previously, when they made Silverlake greatness.
Probably of nearly anyone - the board members here BC8 truly have mined limits before.
Plus a small scale startup would be what would be being calculated only- the gold is extremely high grade in the veins,
For contrast-
The guys could look to Warwick Grigor —also longtime resources analyst (superior knowledge re resources and whole of life career perspective , started Cannacorde with a young Andrew Forest etc. Seen everything )
He also can sound pompous or give opinions also as he sees fit - for sure. But they could take lessons in some respects.
Warwicks report and visiting BC8 story and situation now - was written with more reasoning behind. Last weekend.
Not the offhand too unconsidered review of BC8- not an on-air energy & consideration bouncing around a room.
And closer consideration by far.
Paulsens and overall are being assessed, studies not complete. But mines manager employed and all being considered prior to startup decisions.
Warwick and I am sure most investors here are very aware that these are high grade veins- have to calculate and do the necessary dilution
Not over the historic 7% is my idea and even down towards 4+% to be sure, in ideas ultimately for all - in mind.
But these guys are good miners
The impact is the thing overall- read Warwick by comparison, a considered and encouraging summation.
Which I think the guys were actually also meaning to give in effect.
