I think that many on here have missed amateur13"s point.
You have correctly noted that there are many new, small investors that are investing in Sayona. However, many of them take their investment tips solely from contributors to these forums.
Many of them believe that they can make big money quickly by investing in mining juniors such as sayona, and occasionally they may be lucky and have a win.
However, for the majority, they get caught up in the excitement and time their purchases incorrectly, through inexperience and FOMO, only to be left holding an empty bag when the SP inevitably retracts from the peak.
Companies such as Sayona rely on positive news to rally the share price. It is up to the investor to determine if that news is significant enough to warrant a real and sustainable change in the value of that company. Usually any good news will cause an upswing in SP and that's where Traders will make their money, by getting in and out at the right time. In the meantime, some of them will be using forums such as this, to make over exuberant claims, that have no meaningful basis; in order to continue the "pump" in SP.
It is the poor newbie who sees all this and buys in, regardless of the share price, because he believes that "it's a great time to get in" and that "we're going to the moon"... These "FOMO" buys do actually have an effect on the SP and that's why they get caught, when the Traders start to "dump" their holdings.
Amateur13's point is to call out posters on unwarranted claims. He is challenging them to support their claims with tangible arguments. Therefore, the newbie investors can get a more balanced view and perhaps think twice about weather or not to invest, or at least being able to determine a safer buy in price.
Of course there are many posters who have taken his comments badly and have reacted to them, hence the tit for tat bickering. However, if you look past that, most of what he has said with regards to the share price, has been quite accurate. He appreciates that when the news is good, the SP will rise and when there is no news, it will retrace in stages; until the next news release, assuming that it is positive. If not, it will continue to decline. He has traded himself on this fact and has shared this with the formum.
While I am a holder of Sayona and have been for a long time, I am under no delusions re the risks of investing in companies at this end of the market. Sayona has great "potential", however at this stage nothing is guaranteed. They currently produce nothing and are unable to provide any return on investment, however I am optimistic that do have a good future, if things play out well for them.
