Renal decline is not simply measured by eGFR. If you look at the research, UACR is a better indicator & prediction of other comorbidity in diabetes, as well as renal decline. Refer to KDIGO guidelines for International standards.
A big problem with both of these biomarkers is, that it does not indicate which patients will progress faster with DKD, particularly earlier on. There is a big hole here in diagnostics, although we have drugs now approved.
The picture should be pretty clear now in regards to PromarkerD.
