Disagree wot. If stx’s first bid was successful it would’ve picked up a great asset but would’ve needed multiple cap raises to fund its projects. Subsequently, following its second bid, stx had a massive windfall courtesy of a pseudo cap raise at a premium rate, which is still insufficient to fund its ambitious program, hence the tpd TO bid.
Thanks to Gina I was able to sell half my wgo holding on market for 38-39.5c per share and transfer the other half into Stx, which ultimately is trading higher now due to stx’s failed second bid. While a lot of water has passed under the bridge I doubt I would be better off if stx had been successful with either bid.
