Not a bad idea in theory to sell the ATOM shares and then pay a special dividend or even a share buyback. However , offloading so many ATOM shares in a short timeframe may not be practical, or provide more downward pressure on the ATOM price, as I believe ATOM doesn't have the greatest stock market liquidity. It will probably drive ATOM down another 50%.
But even if they did this, some POS from ASX would probably still find a way to block it.
