    Whilst I'd be delighted if they did, I reckon there are a few reasons why they won't at this point.

    Number One would be the perception of the Chinese domestic market. I'm sure you would agree that being in Hong Kong gives them "special" status in the minds of Chinese in the PRC. They would lose some of that if they moved.

    Even if things come to a head in Hong Kong, there are many more places that would be more attractive than Australia. Singapore would be top of the list, in my opinion.

    Having said that, I think that Australia should be "busting a nut" to make it well known to all Hong Kongers that we are "open for business" if they need to relocate, but I think that the "Peter Duttons" of our nation will prevent that from happening, and the talent would end up going elsewhere.
