The lack of a reliable or certain supply of RE's in the USA is a matter of national importance to any government of any political party. This issue goes well beyond Donald Trumps political party. Can you imagine if the children of the USA and rest of the world for that matter, found that their I-phone no longer had the rare earths to vibrate their phone when it was on Do Not Disturb? Disaster.

Rare earths are so prevalent in so many items of equipment that it would be a matter of national importance if they were not reliably available. Whist they have many uses in military equipment there are also countless uses in non military equipment. It is a big issue for the world as China has the best technology and equipment to process rare earth material. I believe they process around 80% of the worlds rare earths.
