@tradesurfer. Yes, Oceanic Capital Ptd Ltd has taken a substantial position in ARD in the past three months (as per this recent ann.). Oceanic is clearly a Michael Family trust.
Marcus Michael was a chartered accountant and a Non-Exec. Director of Beacon Minerals (BCN), Cardinal Resources (CDV) and St George Mining (SGQ). His resignation from all three companies came on 11 June 2015, the day he suddenly passed away. His brother Peter (in real estate, I believe) was subsequently appointed as a Non-Exec. Director to ARD. David apparently continues to work as a senior broker for Hartleys in Perth.
You'd expect the Michaels to be astute ARD investors... smoke signals indeed!! All IMHO. R-7
