Because the IP involved in battery manufacturing is way beyond SQM and KDR.
Plus there's all the other components that need to be added in, like nickel and cobalt, that need to be refined and ready to go.
Maybe if there was a big partner determined to build a plant in WA, but I'd be surprised if the numbers stacked up for it.
