Personally i appreciate 2ic contribution on here, obviously knows his stuff, i take it as a complement that he actually contributes here, I think that says something in itself.

Your comments on silicon are also interesting. It sounds like silicon will definitely play a significant role in the future of battery anodes, even if there are still some issues to solve. In the full transition scenario, which it increasingly seems where we are heading with the actions of Europe, US and China, just the sheer demand for batteries is truly massive. There are lots of developments going on with anode tech using graphite too that increases energy density too - some of which involve using HPA (that can be produced with Kaolin feedstock). Personally i think we will see a mixture of both based on location, tech etc, remember lots of investment is happening now to meet the demand for the next 10 years, silicon is not even yet in the mix. I think it will play out similar to the cathode, you will see different mixes based on different circumstances and uses.

I am also interested in the supply of Silicon. Is there just an infinite supply, because in the full transition scenario where silicon is in all battery anodes (like you suggest) and its other uses in solar panels (which will also see massive growth) and all its other uses that's a lot of silicon!
