If you use it in a biased way you'll get biased results, but thats true of all sampling. Rock chips are incredibly subjective and prone to selection bias. Far more fortunes have been lost on dodgy rock chip sampling by dodgy people.
For base metals HH-XRF is excellent, but we will NOT get PGE or AU by it. Just Ni + Cu + Cr + Mo to an acceptable accuracy level.
