Jack, before you jump to your personal-bias conclusions, go and read what happened too the BRN SP when the CEO exercised his performance shares, paid the tax from share sales and took the SP down the toilet.
This "spin" is an acknowledgement of what would certainly be negative consequences for all stakeholders. And recognising what could result, a workaround will be found.
That is called good management.
