The world IMHO is fast realising that solar and wind don't actually cut it in real terms in supporting a 24/7 economy/industry etc - it all sounds great but they are realizing thru hard reality that "activists" and 'wishing things" don't somehow gazump reality, actual engineering and science and equally the cost blowouts are starting to mount on supposed "free energy" projects
Money now has value again and suddenly many "renewable" projects are struggling to even get off the ground as they cant generate a return to meet cost of funds.
NSW and Vic just extended the life of coal power stations - despite both premiers being ALP and swearing of coal. Why - well because if they dont we won't have power (putting side the current insane cost of power)
I believe we will see a strong swing back to gas in the very near future given the ALP hates and will never agree nuclear and that the want to be seen exiting coal (even if same does not make sense)
What is the only alternate that they can spin as "greener" - gas
