Cant compare the 2 discoveries.

STX looked at the seismic amplitudes at WE & drilled deeper then their neighbour.

S#3 had a planned TD of 2783m after they had gas in the Dongara-Wagina formation. Drilling an extra 587m deeper exposed the gaspay in apprx 40m of Kingia at 3153m & HCS at 3192m before they called TD at 3330m in the Holmwood Shale.

Strike's find at WE2 & WE4 is located in the Deeper part of the Trough which sits on the 'downthrow' side of a faulted block. So in essence vizualise the alphabet 'Z; where the upper bar is the Waitsia Terrace & the lower bar is the Dand'n Trough where WE reservoir was discovered a few moons back. At WE-2, Kingia came at 4753m & JCS at 4918m which is much deeper then S-3 intersections.

Note that the Operator at WE-1 thought they had drilled deep enough in 1990 to a TD of 4064m. Another 700m would have been 1 for the history books. That's how close they came before Senecio or Waitsia or WE2.
