In light of the update below and the gas flow rates measured, what would be a reasonable commercial gas flow?

I ask this question as I stumbled across an article in the Sydney Morning Herald on 22/1/13 which suggests a flow rate of 1.6MMscf/d was disappointing. If that figure was disappointing then we have a very long way to go, but someone with more knowledge of acceptable flow rates might advise what would be a reasonable outcome? Thanks.
Shale gas flow report disappoints investors

Late on Friday afternoon Beach reported that the Moonta-1 unconventional vertical well had flowed gas at a maximum controlled rate of 2.6 million square feet per day (MMscfd) and was currently flowing at 1.6 MMscfd.
The disappointing rate fell short of expectations of up to 4 MMscfd

.....intermittent major pulses to a continuous flow {25-50 mscf/d)} with regular bursts every few minutes {up to 100 mscf/d} occurring throughout the day.
