I made a hefty sum on the recent CGC entitlement buy buying up the CGCR options before expiry. A lot of people will sell their options the closer it is to the expiry date and becoming worthless. If you are going long on a stock and you are able to buy more of it at a cheaper price than what the market is selling it for, then why not take advantage of it.

The ones that can't see value to an arbitrage trade above are the ones that are in it for a quick $. i.e. they are not long enough on the stock to care about what it can sell for in the future. Mostly they care about what it sells for now.

Also the ones poor enough not to have enough to invest won't see value in it too, there is really no point doing the arbitrage trade if you can't make it a $100k+ position...I made it a $1k example for illustration purposes. Easier for the brain to process $1k of 75c than $100k of 75c.

I don't have to dream of a multibagger on VXR because it already is...

Call me different, but a stock needs to be a multibagger before I stick it in the bottom of the drawer. Not the other way around...
