Alk47, no it is not normal to raise equity and purchase equipment before a BFS is complete. This is even more strange that said BFS is now delayed by a minimum of 6 months for, in my opinion, very dubious reasons.
Even the very ballsy Andrew Forrest in the haydays of Anaconda did not go out on this much of a limb.
Everyone says how good the management is yet it consists of mostly ex-RIO people and RIO generally needs at least teir one projects to weather the managment stuff-up and over padding.
