i agree with you that value-add comes when the market believes this will get into production. this means hitting milestones when you say you will hit them. the market develops expectations from CTM setting self-imposed deadlines. so when CTM misses its deadlines, the market's expectations are dented. keep denting these expectations and eventually the market wont trust that you can deliver. they keep missing milestones and so here we are
