And if there is one thing I can take away from this being the first stock I heavily invested in, is that FOMO is a real thing.

I say this from the sidelines, in the hopes it helps someone (daz I think you and I got in not far apart from each other and both probably have similar trading experience, not as much as others)

Is that, in hindsight and going forward, watching a stock for 12 months before entering (unless of course you really like it / have researched it and the company and its history IN DEPTH) is definitely the way to go when it comes to micro-cap stuff.

The last couple years I've gotten to know quite a few high up VC guys here in Melbourne, and I've slowly learnt that a product inception to market fit is a good 10 year process for the most part.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, take it slow. You can obviously never time the market, but make sure you've asked yourself

- Where do I think this stock / company will be in 5 years?
- what is my risk appetite for this company?
- what am I willing to lose, or how will I handle unforeseen events and manage my expectations?

these questions at the beginning of an investment, should then give you a clear conscience, and going forward, you have no need to share your disappointment, as you've already had that internal conversation with yourself.

just my 2 cents from what I've personally learned the last few years.

it's not rare advice. You can find it all over the internet. But, learning from experience is always better in my opinion.
