The real problem is very few countries are forcing companies to move away from CO2 releasing SMR technology. That part of it is moving at a snails pace because politicians are getting reach arounds from the gas companies to maintain the status quo, and screwing everyone over in the mean time. Why would they pay tax or build expensive infrastructure when they can give a poli a lovely cushy retirement job for comparatively next to nothing.
