also interest rates zero. this helps the attractiveness of the yield. defensive stocks all getting snapped up for even meagre 4% gross up yields (wow, wes, col , edv i am looking at you) with hardly any long term growth now. sdf has growth and similar yields. it has organic growth 5-6% and acquisitive/start up growth(to cater for new business formation each year)
clearly things have changed a lot over the past 5 years. 5 years ago you needed higher yields to compensate for the higher interest rates in that era.
